About This Game Pester was released on Xbox live indies back in early 2013 and was Flump Studios first game developed for public release.A remake of one of my early C64 games, Pester is a very fast paced and busy vertical shooter.Graphically remastered with new sprite work from Dylan Barry and a thumping soundtrack from Matt Macfarland.Intense old school actionTate supportCustomisable play options, over 100 combinations of playRemastered sprite work from Dylan BarryThumping soundtrack from Matt Macfarland 7aa9394dea Title: PesterGenre: IndieDeveloper:Flump StudiosPublisher:KISS ltdRelease Date: 25 Jan, 2013 Pester Download Thepcgames Poor bullet hell shmup. You would be better off with a free flash game.. I play this when I'm bored and have money to spend.. Feels like I'm playing a Game Maker tutorial level.. This game is a ver straightforward shootem'up.It has a certain charm to it, I must admit but... still it lacks in many places. Screen is so small, bullets are flying everywhere, if you use your superhyper attack then it's really easy to get hit as you see almost nothing except blinking colors(it should be called bullet diarrhoea, pardon toilet humor).Well there is nothing more to add here. If you like shmups then you can go for it as I can see it's under 1 euro. If you don't like this type of games then move along as there are better games than this charming yet lackluster shmup.. Blurry sprite scaling with "programmer art" assets, obvious sprite mismatches in the time attack mode, and a general feel of being a mediocre school project make me question why this game is on Steam. There are many better examples of SHMUPS, danmaku, bullet hell games; don't waste your time with this one.Bought it for the cards, 3\/10 would not recommend.Edit: All in-game achievements done after ~90 minutes of play, and there's a hitbox bug in the asteroid mode too. Not much content to be found here.. It's a nightmare, I like it!. PesterCons:static background screens, location never changes, you wouldn't notice location change even if it did,no progression if you lose, anti-progressionsucks.. Having read that this was a remake of a very old game, and having played a lot of games as a kid on a Commodore 64, I was excited for a good bit of nostalgia. The C64 sported these amazing specs:1 MHz CPU!64 kB of RAM!320x200 pixel 16-color monitor! It was such an incredible machine back then, and just as incredible now, but for different reasons.I got the retro feel I was looking for. It's a good remake, in the sense of improving the graphics. If anything, they should not be so good, if they were to really emulate the look of a C64 game. Do an image search. Top of the line gaming fun back then. It's also hard and fast, like the arcade games which followed.1920x1080 resolution works just fine on my PC, in both full screen and windowed mode (Core 2 Duo, 8 GB RAM, AMD HD 5750, Win 7).Pester is fun shmup throwback experience that falls somewhere between simple early game consoles and rage-quit hard arcade games. Best eight bits I've spent in a long time.
